In this Hulu mini series that stars Rosario Dawson and Michael Keaton, we are taken down the sick and twisted road of the origins of the opioid crisis in America. Based on the journalist Beth Macy’s 2018 nonfiction book "Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America," this series shows how Purdue Pharma marketed their drug OxyContin to pharmacies and doctors presenting it as a painkiller where less than 1% of patients become addicted to it, which we all know was a lie!

The pilot episode was directed by Tim Story and premieres Tuesday, October 19 at 10/9c.
